# Living Textbook

Living Textbook is a self-updating medical textbook built for a Danish medical publisher. The system monitors PubMed for new research, identifies relevant changes, rewrites affected chapters, and routes updates to surgeons for one-click approval.

## What it does

- Monitors PubMed continuously for new medical research
- Detects changes relevant to vascular surgery chapters
- Rewrites affected content automatically
- Sends updates to surgeons for approval before publication
- Keeps the textbook current without manual editorial rework on every update cycle

## Why it matters

Traditional textbooks become outdated quickly. Living Textbook is designed so the book never becomes stale: the content update loop is built into the product itself.

## Key facts

- Domain: vascular surgery
- Chapters live: 21
- Status: live in production
- Built by: Frobert / Gustav Frøbert Welinder
- Stack highlights: Cloudflare D1, vector search, AI-assisted content updates, human-in-the-loop approval
